    Extremely reliable

    If possible, get the 1181LS (Lobe Sensing) model instead of the 1181. It is much easier to install. I hope this new one is as good as the original 1181LSC model that I installed 16 years ago which performed flawlessly the entire time. The only reason I replaced it was that it was a first generation "LSC" model which required a few seconds for the module to charge before cranking the engine. Excellent product for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it.

    better fuel economy, no wrok with adjustning the points

    When using this the engine starts easy and the spark is stronger and the fuel economy better. You don´t need to adjust the point or change them because they are not there when this is installed

    Perfect cure for points nightmares

    As for the poor review from davedental, can't help it if you didn't order the right part, fitment errors on the consumers part is hardly warrant for poor reviews. As for the 1181LS pertronix electronic ignition the replaces points/condenser you absolutely can't beat it. I've installed 2 setups over the years and they perform better than the factory gm HEI distributors from the 80s by far and clearance is never an issue as it's still the same smaller pre-HEI cap/distributor. The last setup is installed in a 1960 International B160 truck with a 304 with the DelcoRemy distributor with the same cap rotor and points as the gm and several others. It works perfectly and I'll be assembling a couple spare distributors for future projects. As far as oem look with current reliability you can't beat ...
