      A sturdy tool for the price.

      Gerber Bear Grylls Fire Starter

      not a great deal of spark i touched up the edge of the striker and it improved some.. but isnt easy, after trying different dry tinder i finally gave up and used a cotton ball with some vasoline on it..(that did ignite) Not saying you can't start a fire with it ..but i couldn't... went to cotton ball after 30 mins of trying

      Gerber means quality...

      Gerber means quality and Grylls means smart (except when he decided to steal honey out of that bees nest- bad idea) and both names mean Tough and this fire starter is not different. Quality , smart and tough as well as value/valuable. There are many things one needs in the field but right after food and water...is fire (and sometimes no fire means no food) so its nothing to mess with or try to cut costs on- dependable fire every time-period.
