Connection is not made between the unit and the electrical contact. Has to be propped up to work which defeats the purpose of the fryer. It is not the safe unit I thought it to be. For the Price Cannot Be Beat
Construction is slightly flimsy, but is sturdy enough for home use. 12 cups capacity, but still compact not taking much counter space. I replaced a Presto cool daddy with this one, and there is no comparison. Excellent price with simple, but good, features. It does not have the bells and whistles of more expensive fryers, but, to me, this is a plus because one pays for these bells and whistles. This fryer does an outstanding job frying food which is what a fryer should do.
