Better than original.

Maytag centennial repaired
The full replacement set is essential because all the original parts can get corroded and calcium bound with rust. The spanner wrench is indispensable with removing the old spanner nut and really tightening the new nut which cinches down the tub to the rubber seal. Strong toilet bowl cleaner may help with the calcium deposits and liquid to penetrate the frozen joints. A car scissors jack and a 20" 2×4 board can lift the tub over the spindle but a spark plug socket with a 9/16 and 7/16 socket stacked inside with a wad of chewing gum can straddle the top of the spindle and give the extra length needed to pass the spindle through the tub. Just saying it's much harder to do this than depicted on all the Youtube videos.
