    Problem after just 3 days

    I was very pleased with this thermometer. Good price, good size, easy to read and easy to install. However after just 3 days if the temperature gets any higher than 60 degrees, it jumps to 80 and then 100 degrees and stays there until it gets below 60 again outside. ?????????

    Temperature Adjustment

    Temperature Adjustment I like this thermometer but it is slow changing the temperature when moving from one place to another. I bought two. The reason I bought them was because I was able to adjust the temperature setting by tapping the metal bracket sideways, that holds the spring, located in the back of the thermostat. One of the thermometer was OK but the other one was off about 2 degrees.

    Needs adjustment

    At first disappointed in that it was 4 degrees off from my digital thermometer. However, I found out that it could be adjusted, but not easily. At first I couldn't move the mechanism and then the flat metal piece that was pressing against the plastic body came loose and I was able to twist the mechanism to get it to read correctly. it was trial and error until I got it aligned to the same temp as my digital thermometer. Shouldn't have to go through any of that, but at least I didn't have to toss it or send it back.

    Good product for a good price.

    I purchased the same thermometer nearly 20 years ago and it provided accurate information until now. If anything can last outdoors for 20 years I should buy another one. I like the bold numbers because I can still read them from a distance of 40 feet.
