    Motorola Quality Second To None

    Motorola is synonymous with quality and rugged 2 way communications. The XTS5000 I purchased in the 700-800mhz digital band split works perfectly. It will be used for ARES operations in my home state and has been programmed in the states EOC, Red Cross, and all necessary interoperability channels needed. Audio is crystal clear no popping or static as in analog modes. Perfect radio for a first responder type role. It is a little bit heavier than other HT type radios, but it has to be to take the possible abuse it could be subject to in the field. The speaker is mounted high on the radio and is very loud, especially useful in high noise environments. Paired with a shoulder mic and earphone, there is no comparison.     Fantastic Used Radio

    A very nice radio. Albeit, that I had to do some serious cleaning (as expected) and it's still messed up but, appears to function just fine.This series of radios, were meant to take a beating and keep working. Hell, I beat the hell out of my Uniden Scanner which this will make for an extremely nice radio/scanner. A little wear on the mic cable but certainly not an issue. I've ordered the software and the programming cable will arrive shortly. These radios are made very tough and I expected mine to be a "little rough around the edges" but it's still a beast of a radio!

    Well the xts5000 is such a nice radio it's built very well but it takes quite a bit to learn how to program and I'm waiting for the software to come from eBay at as we speak but the radio is it a good radio for the money
