Synopsis
When Ralph Helfer, now one of Hollywood's top animal behaviorists, first began working, he was shocked by the cruelty that was accepted practice in the field. He firmly believed in "affection training" - that love, not fear, should be the basis of any animal's development, even when dealing with the most dangerous of creatures. Then Zamba came into his life - an adorable four-month-old lion cub that went on to prove Helfer's theories resoundingly correct. Over the next eighteen years, Zamba would thrive and grow, and go on to star in numerous motion pictures and television shows - all the while developing a deep and powerful bond of love and affection with the man who raised him. By turns astonishing, hilarious, and poignant, Zamba is not only the unforgettable story of the relationship that Helfer would come to consider one of the most important in his life but also that of the amazing career and adventures of the greatest lion in the world., When Ralph Helfer, now one of Hollywood's top animal behaviorists, first began working, he was shocked by the cruelty that was accepted practice in the field. Very fast delivery and came in perfect condition. In the Flesh season 2 came at a great price, better than the big box stores or that other online mega store. This disc set was exactly as the seller described, this seller is one you can trust. Packaging was great the shrink wrap still had the bar code sticker on it so you know this truly was brand new and unused.

  • What a WONDERFUL read!

I LOVED this book! I read Modoc by Ralph Helfer and could not wait to find another. Zamba did not disappoint. The author's poignant story telling is truly captivating. The adventures the animals and trainers had were both thrilling and scary at times. I've cried, laughed and felt almost like I was actually a part of these amazing stories. I just received The Beauty and Beasts another Ralph Helfer book that I can't wait to delve into. If you like animals and true stories, these books will not disappoint.

  • I like true stories

Zamba is the true story of one man's relationship with a lion that he raised from a cub and trained. I'm an adult and I enjoyed the book. I think that young people would also enjoy it. In fact anyone with a love for animals would like this book.
