I purchased this to use as a box cutter at work, and so far it's worked like a dream. Sometimes I have to use some muscle to get it to cut through cardboard, but for the most part it takes minimal effort, and it cuts smooth and straight. The size is perfect for fitting in pockets. My only complaint is that in order to fold it after use, you have to move a tab that's located on the inner side of the handle, facing the blade, to get the hinge to unlock, so it seems like it'd be pretty easy to accidentally cut yourself when trying to fold the knife back up again since your fingers are right in front of the blade you're trying to fold up. I haven't actually had this problem, just seems risky so I always take extra care when moving that tab. Other than that, though, it's a wonderful knife.

This is not a flip open, nor thumb open. If you try to thumb open it you will likely slice the pad off of your thumb. This is not to say that it’s junk, it’s not. It seems well made and tough but it is a two hand opener, and you need a screw driver to change the blade. But if you’re looking for something small, and for EDC, it’s a decent option.

This is my favorite knife! It is slim, light, and looks very classy considering it is basically a box cutter. I love exchangeable blade knives because I can use it on whatever without worrying about ruining the blade. There are tasks that it wont be appropriate for because of the blade, obviously, but all the every day cutting tasks that you wouldn't do with your really nice knife are fair game. The liner lock is great, I prefer the folding style to the typical slide out box cutter blade. The blade is easy to change, if you don't have a small screw driver you can use a dime or penny to take out the screw and flip the blade around, and the design holds the blade in place securely. The pocket clip is slim, and it becomes completely unnoticeable in my pocket. The only issue I have ever had with these knives, is that the first one, after years of use, the main pivot screw got a little loose and it was challenging to tighten it, but not impossible. I lost the first one after about 10yrs of using it, couldn't find it in stores anymore and was very disappointed, so I was thrilled to find it online and ordered two new ones, and now it is my go to everyday carry knife once again!Read full review

Quality seems to be very good . I have 2 of these 1 for work and 1 for play. I use drywall blades in mine they are 5 times tougher. I also use a 3" elastic strip that slides on to my belt. That lets me carry the knife horizontal and doesn`t hang down at all and takes up no pocket room. That way I don`t have to carry it in with change and keys or my cell phone in the other pocket which it would scratch up. Blades are razor sharp and can be sharpened or changed as needed . Also blades are not very expensive. I like this model over the EAB air because it is more squared off which fits the elastic tube that is slid on the belt for carry. I have other pocket knives and I might as well give them away because this is the ONLY knife that suits me the best.

I have a bigger folding utility knife that takes these blades, and I use it constantly. My buddy gave it to me and I was telling him how much I liked it. He said, that’s nothing, look at the one I have now. Pulled out this Gerber. Said he loves it because it’s small enough to carry all the time. As soon as I saw it, I pulled out my phone and ordered one. This thing is AWESOME!!!! Super sturdy, super handy!!!
