Yep, it's a gun.
So, I've never owned a gun and never used a powder loader prior to buying this. I learned about a tool that shoots nails into concrete using gunpowder and being the power tool nut that I am, I just had to have one. If you are a first timer like I was, this requires tool specific nails (lengths vary and with or without washers attached), and powder loads (amount of powder varies). Basically, it's like buying bullets but the powder and projectile are separate so you can change depending on application. The tool having no real instructions (mine anyway) was fairly simple to figure out. Use two hands, and wear ear protection... and warn the neighbors they'll hear gunshot sounds. It's comfortable enough, weighty enough, and sturdy enough to handle itself. After shooting, pull the barrel open quickly and the empty load will pop itself out. If you're looking for speed, look towards dewalts auto loading model for sigificantly more money. Still this is near 10x faster than a hammer drill and tapcons. There is a twisty thing on the bottom I still don't know what it's used for. Maybe adjusting spring pressure? The spring seems to be a safety feature requiring the barrel/projectile to be pressed up against the surface firmly for the trigger to work. Hope this helps!
