This HDD was a pretty cheap buy and the performance of my MacBook Pro is excellent now. I scanned the condition of the old HDD using Disk Utility included in the Mavericks OS. According to the scan, the old Hard Drive was failing. This prompted me to replace the HDD myself. Buy this HDD if you are looking for a 2.5" SATA. You will be impressed.
Vary easy to use. Vary good quality. No set up requires just formatted and good to use. I am using the drive for backup of my files and fully satisfied with it.
