This Makita hammer is awesome. I have yet to use it as a drill in concrete, but I am not concerned. The first job it did was break up 3 inch thick patio concrete about 60 sq. ft. in 30 minutes. I thought that a larger hammer would be needed, however it was not. Another great Makita product.

I stepped up from a basic DeWalt hammer drill to this much more powerful SDS MAX. It was a great decision, it is a great tool. As to the refurbished part I can not tell the difference from a brand new tool. Very happy with the tool itself and with Makita's refurbishing job. The price was an icing on the cake :)
