    Asterix the Legionary

    These book should be mandatory reading for any young boy. I grew up with these stories and would read them over and over. The stories revolve around the village of Gauls that refuse to surrender to Roman rule and give in their way of life. The stories are funny, poignant and fantastically illustrated. This one is my personal favourite as the two lead characters join the Roman army (their enemy) to rescue one of their fellow Gauls that was sent away. The story deals with honour, loyalty, friendship and family ties. There is no blood or gore, the stories are funny and highly entertaining.

    I bought the Asterix book, because they are fun to read, enjoyed it and well probaly buy more of them
