    Fantastic for struggling readers and everyone else too!

    I bought this for my struggling reader. She has dyslexia. As an adult who has overcome it, I know her struggle. It’s a challenge to find books that are appropriate for a student with dyslexia with content that interests them. This series of book is both attractive and interesting. It appeals to wide age range of readers and the author assumes that kids are intelligent and doesn’t dumb down the language. The text is broken up by illustrations which makes it easier for my kiddo to keep track of her place. Pages full of small print text make it difficult for her eyes to track even with a “ruler.” So this type of design makes it much less stressful for her as she works through a book. Riddell is phenomenal artist. These books are beautifully illustrated. His illustrations are as compelling ...
