i got the camera refurbished w/a bundle [turns out most of the stuff i don't really need, but still nice to have] for $119, free shipping. the point and shoot results are a bit disappointing in clarity and color, but i've been using a friend's camera that cost at least 3 times this amount. i have minimal photo taking skills so i actually need to read the book, which is long and is only available as a download. to get the best pics, i think that going off 'auto' and working w/the camera's setting is the best, if slightly complicated, way to go. the camera has a lot of capabilities that keeping it on 'auto' don't take advantage of. it's very conveniently sized w/good features.
very clear photo ', the video you could record more then 15 minuets in one shot you could zoom the the video well it is recording I like it alot' thank you ebay I purchased this camera as a replacement to my old Canon . The main reason I chose to replace it was for the IS feature. When I purchased to my old it was on sale and the IS features on cameras were an expensive option on upgraded models. I have to say the feature performs as expected. Obviously it's not going to do much if there is a lot of camera shake, but it does the job for what it's intended to do. Picture quality is excellent. Low light does well despite the reviews I've heard. Manual settings do just as well as auto settings. I like the playback button that lets you review pics rather than having to switch the camera into another mode. When taking multiple shots the lag time between pics is minimal. Videos work well with it but there is that pesky no in and out zoom during a video. Sound quality was surprisingly good with video mode as well. It takes outdoor video well with little wind noise. I was a bit cautious about buying a camera with no viewfinder as my last camera had one, but let's face it, I hardly used it when I had it. Insisting on a camera with a viewfinder also significantly limited my choices for point and shoots. I'm satisfied with no viewfinder and this camera is exactly what I expect in a good point and shoot. I considered the SD1200IS since it was on sale and a little less expensive but I figured for a few extra features, it's worth the extra $50. Battery life is great! Even under moderate to heavy use it lasted all night and part of the next day. I'd suggest always having another battery pack as a backup though as you never know when you might need it. I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a quality point and shoot. For the price I don't think you can ask for much more in a compact digital camera.Read full review
The Canon PowerShot Digital ELPH SD1300 is is one of the easiest cameras to use I've ever owned. It's a small lightweight camera that's comfortable to hold and with the wrist strap it ensures you don't drop it as you are taking your shots. It has easy to use features that will help you in all lighting conditions that will change the colors of your images so they come out as true as any other digital can. The ISO is adjustable as well which is great depending on your subject and lighting conditions. I do a lot of online selling and I needed a good dependable camera that would allow me to take decent close ups for items such as rings and necklaces as well as shots that are farther away but won't lose detail such as clothing, collector plates and dolls. This camera does it all. This is my 3rd of this model. My first I purchased in January of 2011. I used it up until about 3 months ago when I noticed that I was getting a dark area in the center of all my shots. I cleaned the lens but it was inside the camera. Instead of taking it in to a repair shop, I decided to look for an identical model to replace it. It was hard to find since it's been discontinued much to my disappointment. But I finally found a new one and was thrilled. I paid over twice what I paid for my first one but decided it was worth it to me. It will be a sad day when I can no longer find this camera so I think when the time comes I'll get it repaired and keep doing it until there's no option but to find another replacement which will be hard. I purchased a third one very inexpensively and sent it to get repaired so now I have 3. They all work and I'm hoping I'll have at least one of these for the rest of my days. I love this camera..Read full review
