Nice unit for fm stereo and to run a cd changer. Also has a phono connection which is very rare on a lower-end receiver.

Good with one oddity
This is a very nice, moderate receiver - especially good for the money. It does everything you would want in this level receiver. There is one really curious thing, however: when using the remote, you cannot turn it off - you can only put it in hibernation. You can only turn it off using the button on the machine (same with turning it on - if it is off, you can only turn it on at the machine - not with the remote). This is not necessarily a deal breaker but, if for instance in my case, I have TV speakers hooked up to it and watch from my bed....so when I turn off the TV the receiver is still on (in hibernation mode) unless I get out of bed and physically turn off the machine. This is a good product, especially for the money.
I bought this receiver to go out in my pole shed and to replace an aging receiver that was made before cd players were even invented. I spend a lot of time out there wrenching and like to listen to music while I work. This new receiver works great for me. I've listened to FM broadcasts and Cds (after I hooked up one of my CD players) quite a bit over the last several weeks that I've had it. It sounds great, and has good channel separation. And the price is hard to beat. About the only negative I can think of is that the little indoor mono-pole antenna that comes with it is basicly worthless, especialy iside a metal pole shed. I mounted an antenna on top of my shed and ran some coax cable down to the receiver.
