Great stock, far better than original.
This stock looks and operates far better than the original stock on the mossberg 930 spx. The original stock looks and feels like it could just break and looks fugly. This stock has an awesome limb saver pad, the pistol grip is incredibly comfortable, the cheek riser helps with a red dot sight, and it's all around a much better product than the original stock. The installation was a pain in the arse. The original nut came off with the recoil tube and the com-any had to send me a new nut for the receiver. This must be a common problem because the have a notice stating that it 'rarely' happens but if it does they'll send out a part for free. So that leads me to believe it happens all the damn time but they're too cheap to just send an aftermarket nut with the stock. So I had to wait a week ... The installation is pretty straight forward but a pain in the neck dealing with the springs and small parts that go flying across the room. Make sure you keep everything pointed away from your face or you'll be in the emergency room with a part in your eye. Once installed the functionality is excellent and improves how well the firearm can be handled and the felt recoil is greatly diminished. A must have for this shotgun.

Substandard
After receiving and opening the package I inspected the stock and hardware and found no discrepancies. I followed the instructions for installing the stock and it wasn't until then that I found the hardware substandard. Using the Allen head wrench in place of the retaining pen as per instructions bent the opening and the pin was no longer useful.. used a modified pin that fit the opening. The Mossberg plunger was larger then the spring tube which required boring sanding and polishing of the tube for it to fi and move freely. Once install was complete the bolt failed to lock to the rear or of battery. Had to adjust the spring tube out unit it locked. Assembly complete fired the shotgun and didn't cycle changed ammo and still failed. Replace the urbino messa spring with the factory spring ... A totally different kind of sweetness!
This is the best upgrade you could possibly add to the JM 930 Pro Tactical 12 guage, hands down. This is exactly what I was looking for and the fit, finish, and feel are incredible! It shortens the length of pull and it makes so much sense than the standard stock for home defense, hunting, or target shooting. You get such a better hold on the gun and it's much faster to move with the gun. Oh yeah, it looks freakin' superb! Nice stock the adjustable check riser makes all the difference no longer looking at the safety when resting cheek on the stock. The change in length of pull makes the gun more manageable. Fired all types of ammo through it trying out the new return spring setup included for the Mossberg 930. It no longer reliably cycles the cheap low brass bird shot, but cycled everything else I fed it slugs, buckshot, and heavy load birdshot.
