I thought I remembered enjoying the music from the movie and knew it would be challenging enough. Got a good deal on a used book so I bought it. There are a couple of pieces that sound like they will be worthwhile learning, but overall I'm not sure I should have made the purchase. I guess I should have listened to the soundtrack first. The arrangements (there is an easy version of this music) are for upper intermediate players. Mr. Nyman's arrangements do not particularly flow easily. A much better purchase, in my opinion, was a book of piano music from the "Amelie" soundtrack (Yann Tiersen, Six Pieces pour piano, vol. 2). Although it was expensive (a French import), it was worth every penny! It flows well, sounds advanced, and is easy to memorize. Check out the soundtrack first!
