As David Fincher's PANIC ROOM begins, recently divorced Meg Altman (Jodie Foster) halfheartedly tours an old New York City townhouse with her restless young daughter Sarah (Kristen Stewart). Using money from her divorce settlement, the unhappy mother decides to buy the spacious home. The former abode of a wealthy eccentric, this townhouse contains an unusual extra feature, a supposedly impenetrable "panic room" equipped with surveillance monitors, a separate phone line, and other survival aids, where residents can hide in case of emergency. When three men--Burnham (Forest Whitaker), Junior (Jared Leto), and Raoul (Dwight Yoakam)--break into their new home, Meg and Sarah end up using the panic room much sooner than they could have possibly imagined. And, unfortunately for them, these intruders are not simple burglars; they possess knowledge that makes the situation much more perilous.Hitchcockian in its confined setting and carefully doled-out suspense, Fincher's PANIC ROOM is more straightforward than his infamous FIGHT CLUB, though no less engaging. Foster (who replaced Nicole Kidman after she injured herself on the set of MOULIN ROUGE) gives her best performance since THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. The thieves are equally compelling--Whitaker shines as a likeable, sad-eyed security expert; Leto provides comic relief as a talkative brat; and Yoakam is perfectly loathsome as an armed-to-the-teeth psycho. Although the film features some of Fincher's trademark hi-tech effects, its true bells and whistles are the excellent cast, the stunning photography, the moody score, and the simple yet thrilling story.

description is terrible only that the camera is used. arrived on time and when removing the lens small parts fell out of it, seller knew about because the lens was noisy. repairs approximately $20. also an SD card is damaged +$20. did not ask for a full refund. I just wanted a minimum compensation ($20), the answer was NO. The seller asked to return the camera for a full refund, which does not suit me. I read other reviews and from them it is clear that the seller is very careless towards buyers

    Panic Room

    The movie begins with a newly divorced mother scouting around New York City looking for a new home with her daughter. The home she decides to purchase has an unusual feature, a "panic room" which is a inpenetrable room which is equipped with surveillance video monitors, a phone line separated from the direct phone line, and many more features that helps the residents of the home hide in case of an emergency. Their first night in the house 3 men break in and they have to use the panic room much earlier than they thought. What they soon find out is that the 3 men know more about the panic room than they do. Which complicates things even more for them. This movie is excellent. Definitely one of my favorites. The cast is also amazing, they include: Jodie Foster, Jared Leto, Dwight ...

    I had this DVD before and I really love this movie. It is very suspenseful and there are some neat camera tricks in it.

    Panic Room - Jodie Foster Fan

    I'll be truthful, I like Jodie Foster's style of acting. She isn't the typical Hollywood actress all glitz and glamor. Her and Forest Whitaker (who I also like) are the only things that keeps this movie alive. It would have been a made for TV movie without them. Nothing unique here!

    Panic Room DVD

    We bought the Panic Room DVD For my daughter. She had seen it before on T.V. She loves the movie with all the action and excitement. The only complaint I heard from her was that she thought there was to much foul language in it and that only mature audiences should watch it.

    Great Suspense!

    I love Jodie Foster and she does a great job in this movie! Good suspense!! Also a good movie to watch if you're a Kristen Stewart fan and want to see some of her earlier work.
