About this product

Product Information

Based upon contemporary and informed opinion, Age of the Gunfighter tells of a tempestuous time and many a notorious gunfighter. Few of those who achieved fame and a reputation lived into old age, and those that did were men out of place and time, steeped in nostalgia for a bygone era.

Fast shipping, looks like new. Amazon wanted the new one for $38 and with GoodWillBooks I got it for $18! It was a gift for my sister that is going to baking classes and she said this was the book that her teacher uses. Thank you!

  • It all seems to be "kinda true"

An excellent perspective on the age of the gunfighter. This is not my field of expertise -- mine's holsters only -- and so I can only caution that it should be taken as the beginning of a line of inquiry, rather than dispositive, because the photo page that includes Tom Threepersons' revolver and prohibition badge, incorrectly indicates the nearby Texas Ranger badge as Tom's: and Tom himself is on record (1929) as saying he was never a T.R. and never intended to be; and indeed wasn't. Likely a mislabeling of the photo during editing, which is understandable, because the artifacts are from The Autry Museum and they know better (they hold only his revolver and his prohibition badge, and not even his holster and certainly not a T.R. badge for him).
