Product Information

The B456 Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher carries 10 pounds of monoammonium phosphate, a fire-retardant agent. The extinguisher comes fully charged and is rechargeable both after use and during the recommended annual cycle. Steel-constructed, the cylinder is resistant to blunt force. The extinguisher provides 20 seconds of discharge under 195 pounds per square inch of pressure that can spray as far as 21 feet.

    Great Fire Extinguisher

    I paid the same amount I paid for this for my last fire extinguisher from Lowe's and it was only a 5# capacity extinguisher which ran out before I could put the fire on my porch out. I had to use water to finish extinguishing it. It would have led to a complete loss of my trailer home had it spread any further. It was flaming pretty high and my 5lb extinguisher couldn't put it all out. It did deminish it enough to allow me time to get buckets of water on it. After experiencing such an emergency, I recommend no less than a 10# extinguisher, maybe even 2.

    If there is ever a fire,I have great confidence that this product will put that fire out. It’s big and also refillable. Now I have one on every floor of the house.     This is a bargain.

    About a year ago I bought a five pound Kidde extinguisher for around 48 dollars. I decided to buy another but for some reason the price went up to 71 dollars. This unit is twice the size for less money and I can see no difference in the quality. It did not include a mounting bracket however if that's important to you.

    BE PREPARED

    It is possible this could save your life your families lives and all your possessions. Get the 10 pound size. Smaller ones run out too quickly. Ten pounds refers to the powder it holds total weight is a lot more but since it has a hose you won't need to wave it around. BTW: ZORO ships fast. Be safe, Luv
