Summary: ======== This keyboard is very compact. Its about 12 inches across and 5 inches wide. The thickness closer to the spacebar is less than 1 cm and the thickness at the back is around 1.5 cms. Overall a neat and compact little keyboard. The range advertised is 15meters but that is not entirely true. Its actually about 12-15 feet with very good reception. After that its weak and the mouse and keyboard do not do anything on the computer/tv. My TV has an HTPC (Currently on the floor) facing my couch which is 12 feet away. if you do not place the receiver DIRECTLY in front of the keyboard, the range reduces drastically. This is the only reason i took off 1 star. Pros: ===== The mousepad works great. The buttons feel solid when you press them. The one thing which deserves a star on its own is the feature of scrolling on this mousepad. Use two fingers from top to bottom on the surface of the touch pad and the effect is the wepage will scroll up or down. You dont need to click on the scrollbar.... SIMPLE! Keyboard feels great. ITs no mechanical keyboard but they feel comfortable and most keys are the size of a regular keyboard which is a huge plus for me. Cons: ===== The keys feel good to type on but one extremely silly design choice is that the "ENTER" key is very small. Im used to a keysize thats almost double on every other keyboard and laptop that I own so it takes getting used to. The Function keys are also extra small. There is plenty of space up top (wasted plastic surface area) that could have been generously used to increase the button size. Maybe cost drove the size down but its a bit of a nuisance. I keep messing up (Alt+F4) and end up pressing F3 or 6 instead :) The Bottom line: ============== All in all things function correctly and I am able to control my HTPC connected to my TV thats 12-15ft away from my couch. So im very happy with this buy. I would recommend this to anyone who has a setup similar to mine. (Again remember the receive needs to have a direct line of sight to they keyboard to work effectively.... yes all obstacles cannot be overcome ... hence the 4 stars.) Good job logitech!Read full review

Would be alright but the major flaw is the size and position of the right shift key. You will find yourself trying to track back to what you were typing because the home and page keys are pressed by accident all the time. I have lost work because the focus suddenly changes as you are typing, and it will type over the selected text. of course you did not select any text, but since you had the shift key down and hit page/arrow it will select random text on the screen and overwrite it.

4/5 well for the price it’s 5/5, but the trackpad isn’t so great as it’s small, but this isn’t my primary keyboard. I’ve been gaming from a recliner, lazybüt style and rather than get up I can just use this lol, so it does the trick like a tv remote vs buttons on the tv in the wireless aspect, but for a keyboard and main use…. Nah please skip. Maybe if you don’t type more than stuff you’d search for. If you’re getting to typing and like speed, this one will slow you down, the shift button feels out of place again not the point for me. I still have my main keyboard wired and my main mouse works while this here reviewed keyboard is active, so in short they can work simultaneously. There’s a power button on the keyboard which is cool, but I point that out so that you don’t accidentally hit it, the thing with that is, if you press it, your computer will power down. This wouldn’t be great if you have unsaved stuff up is my point. Great stocking stuffer. Since I bought 3 I have a spare. They’re not heavy duty. Not that you need one to take into battle, seems sturdy enough. I haven’t dropped it yet, so we’ll see. Read full review

I had just purchased an Intel Compute Stick that plugs into a big screen TV HDMI port, and my old wireless keyboard trackball was intermittent. I purchased this touchpad keyboard as a replacement. Both the keyboard and touchpad work really well. A bonus is that there is an ON/OFF switch which saves on battery life. BTW the Intel Compute Stick works great also. The Intel Compute Stick came with Windows 10, 32GB SSD, and 2 GB RAM, for about $150. What a buy!

This keyboard is great, the receiver will pick it up from at least 20ft away. I use this on my HTPC, and it is so convenient having the keyboard and touchpad in the same place. It is also very lightweight, but kinda flimsy. This keyboard uses rf frequency, which is so much better than the old ir unit it replaced. I can't comment on battery life yet, but I do like the fact that you can turn the unit off, my old wireless keyboard didn't have that option. Also, it works flawlessly in windows and linux, no drivers needed.

Works well, feels solidly built. Just want to point out that the listing says K400 and the photos (as of June 26, 2020, at least) were of the K400, but I actually got a K400r. Mostly the same product... in fact the K400r is supposed to be an improved design of the K400. But I wanted a keyboard where the F keys are primary. They are on the K400, but this is the K400r, where the F keys are secondary (requires pressing Fn button + the F key) and the multimedia shortcuts are primary. Not a big deal to most but since I'm running a lot of old software off my computer, it mattered to me. Fortunately, if you download the SetPoint software, you can flip it so that the K400r's F keys act as F keys without pressing the Fn button.

The keyboard works on all the systems that I plugged it into: Windows 7, Ubuntu and OS X 10.10. As a light use device it is very practical, it is compact and matches my living room decor (keyboard is white). I use it as a quick way to control my Mac Mini HTPC when I need to make changes to settings, otherwise the HTPC is a Plex server accessed from Samsung TV Plex app. The keyboard is small enough to be put away easily when not in use, and with a power on/off button on the top edge it is easy to conserve battery. The performance of the keyboard is great in Windows. In OS X, the extra buttons on the top don't work and the touchpad accuracy is not as good as an Apple trackpad but that is to be expected. You can't make Apple gestures to open Launchpad or Mission Control, two finger tap works and two finger scroll also works. If using a dual boot setup, sometimes pressing the function key for choosing the boot device won't be recognize on time.Read full review
This is my 3rd Logitech wireless keyboard, 2nd with the mouse (k400r). I've had zero trouble with any of the 3. The first two I've had long enough to speak on their longevity. Easy to use, easy to set up. Zero complaints whatsoever. I use them on my laptops and desktops. I have a security system on one of my computers, with cameras recording 24/7, and being able to remain in bed and control it from a few feet away is great. I can make adjustments, dim the lights, etc. without getting up.

This purchase was a replacement for an identical unit that got broke, so I ended up paying rather more than I should have out of sheer pig-headedness. The new model now available at retail has a very slightly altered arrangement of secondary function keys, making it a little harder to put your computer to sleep, which may be a good thing; but it's not available in white and I really wanted another white one. It's much easier to see and use in a low-light living room. This design with integrated touchpad is perfect, imho, for sofa-surfing and for controlling multimedia applications. For any kind of gaming (minecraft, Roblox) you're going to want a proper mouse and for heavy typing you may find this kb a bit spongy, but for entering URLs and the occasional search in iTunes it's fine. *Best* feature by far is the upper-left button that replicates the left mouse click, so you can drag on the touchpad with your right hand and click with your left thumb, as you hold the keyboard in your hands. I'm using it with the "unifying" USB dongle that came with a Logitech mouse. Works perfectly with it, no setup hassles. Batteries last for ages.Read full review

This is one of the better mid-sized keyboards. I use it with 3 different computers and it works well with them all. Upper left corner has a key that when pressed, it simulates a left mouse key being pressed. This feature takes this keyboard several steps above this smaller type keyboard. I really miss the mouse roller that makes moving up and down a page a snap. Incorporate that feature into this keyboard and you have the best of them all. I have a small 5 in x 5 in HTPC that I use this with and it is super keyboard for that purpose. I also use a mouse (wireless) along with this keyboard on some items to have the mouse wheel available. You have got to get one of these, they are great.
