This is based in some fact.
Muslim fanatics are trying to, essentially, annex the southern Philippines from the 1,000+ islands making up the Republic of the Philippines. This is happening now. This film is, in a sense, true. There is fact in fiction. The islands I know of at risk are Mindinao, Cebu and Mactan. The Muslims are being supplied and financed by secularists from Indonesia. The language spoken by the separatists is Tagalog, the native language of the Philippines. I have flown out of Mindinao and out of Mactan as a part of the US military. I rate this film only as "good" only because of the protracted "shoot 'em ups" which I think are overdone. This is not realistic. Too few Americans killed in this film and too many Philippino troops. And why do the makers of the film use an African American female? ... The movie was ok.
I liked that it had one of my favorite martial artists,Mark Dacascos.Even though there wasn't really any martial arts in the movie.Plus I'm not really into army movies that much.Over all the movie was ok.

i again bought this this movie for someone else in the house hold to watch and they have not had the time to watch movies at this time. and i don't watch movies like this because i don't like them

Very good movie!
This movie is very realistic, and well done, in my opinion. Rivals Stallone and Segal action films, but not as techy as James Bond films. I have the sequel, "CrashPoint", but have not seen it yet; I am anxious to view it at the first opportunity!
