This older model smart phone still has a lot of features people like, such as 4G LTE, a fair amount of internal memory, a built-in GPS & a handy stand. It seems constructed well. The screen is a nice size & clear. Voice quality is very good too. The only real problem I've found is that I can't seem to boost the volume high enough to comfortably hear low speaking callers sometimes, but perhaps I don't have a master setting optimized for this.

This is an OK phone; better than the low-end stuff, but not the quality of the latest phones on the market. There are some nice features, like the built-in kick-stand. HTC has a nice way to get the phone up and running, with their support site. The one thing that has irked me in the 3 weeks that I've owned this phone is that the soft keypad (there is no hard keypad) does not support dragging, so you have to click on each and every key you wish to have entered. It slows the user down and makes for more typo's in the process. Overall, if you are looking for a cheap (I paid $45) smartphone, this might be a good candidate.

I enjoy using HTC phones. I purchased two of these units. I was a holdover from the Evo shift and my girlfriend had the Evo 3D. Switching over to the Evo 4G LTE was seamless. The features matched everything my daughter's Samsung Galaxy 3 had including identical front and rear camera features and resolution, on board memory and storage space, dual core processors, screen size, etc etc. Plus, I bought two nearly flawless units for just over $100 each - I've seen many under $100, it's a great deal considering the competitor costs at least $50 more. The battery life is excellent compared to my Evo Shift or the Evo 3D, but it is not removable and does not last as long as many of the newer phones. It is sufficient though and usually last the whole work day with GPS, WiFi and Mobile data enabled, surfing the net, watching my e-bay bids, texting and taking calls. I usually plug it in towards the end of the day so I can give it juice to play music via Bluetooth at the gym. I didn't a few times and came close to killing the battery by the end of my nighttime workout. The power saver feature on the phone, which leaves all your services on and intact, makes the battery last 4X longer - seemingly by magic, but you shouldn't have to use that mode, the battery should just last long period, and if we wanted to replace it with a higher capacity battery, you couldn't unless you did some phone surgery. The phone is decent in every way, great reception where my last few phones could not get any, fast, spacious, nice screen, expandable storage yada yada, so now for the inevitable negatives. The battery is fixed, not replaceable unless done by a phone shop; the battery could last longer, just a few more hours and it would be on par with many of the newer phones (power saver feature makes it last for days); the model is not popular enough or just old enough to not have a good choice of cases and accessories; Skype skips a lot as does any video conferencing; speakers are not very loud; and finally, just an annoyance, it doesn't tell you when it is or isn't in 4G; however, when there's coverage the 4G works awesome, that's about it.Read full review
To date, this is the best phone I have had. I enjoyed the the features and have used most on it. However, the only SERIOUS drawback is the battery. NOT that it drains quickly, rather, that you CANNOT remove it from the phone and replace it. I would rather pull the battery out and place a fresh one in rather than have to keep it tethered. In an urban environment, tethering is ok, but if you are going to be away from an electrical outlet for a while, well, forget it. Other than that I really cannot say anything bad about the phone. It has exceeded my expectations. I am on my second Evo and used the first one till the darn thing basically fell apart. The HotSpot capability is awesome, and has kept me informed for all the things I need to be and connected to who I needed to be and entertained when I was either bored or waiting. RARELY did an app not work. Yes, there were times when calls didn't get to me but that is a network issue, not a phone issue. If you need a reliable phone, this is it.Read full review
I really do like HTC products,(I previously had the evo shift) this phone is wonderful for the most part. I like the huge display, I like the android os, great sound quality(beats audio),ultra thin design, and for the beginner in smart phones; a tutorial to get you started! now for the drawbacks...the battery life is not as long as I would like. There have been several(alot!) times my phone will freeze up and I have to restart or pull the battery:( Also this phone has issues with apps and the actual operation of the phone itself...after say I've played a game on my phone, the phone operations won't work properly, missing calls or texts... For the most part I love it, just a couple of glitches they need to work on... Hope this helps!
I enjoy the new EVO. The screen is stunning and is on par with the Galaxy III. It has very fast operating speeds. The feature I've been enjoying the most is the auto-sync between all of my accounts. It deletes duplicate contacts and merges contact information from separate contact lists into one common contact. The cons I've noticed are how fragile the phone is, the screen has a high probability to break if it falls from off your lap, so I'd recommend getting a sturdy case before you take the phone out the case. The other big flaw that I've seen is the navigation. It crashes very frequently (every 5-10min) and the only solution that has been proven to work is get an entire new EVO. So cross your fingers and hope yours works the first time around.
Works well with free unsecured WiFi at home and out in the wide world. I'd like it better if the battery was easy to exchange. On my 4th found one eBay... 1st had bad Wifi antenna 2nd was a Looper 3rd refused to unlock screen. 4th is nearly PERFECT.. All were under $15 ppd. on eBay. One was only 99 cents! Easy to work on, unlike iPhones! IF one has a set of small Torx drivers! Good Luck J.C.

An accidental buy, best surprise. I had no Sprint signal inside, (3 yrs+), hit a buy me on a wrong page ( my error) so when it arrived I set it aside.... then put my sim in for fun one nite .. 2 bars (inside) !! Internet, text, calls ! Lots of research later, not all phones are equal, this one is known as a signal boss. My full time phone now.

Still more than good enough 2 years after its initial release. Though newer Android OS are even more user friendly where the settings are easier to get to with more useful build-in apps. The latter may be remedied with free app downloads. But as far as what one expects from a smartphone nowadays, for GPS, social media, still photo, video recording, and much more, this phone can handle them just fine.
i like the phone pretty well.....it gets better reception than the galaxy s2 and the s3.....although not as much ram as the galaxy....thats really the only thing i think is a bummer about it....o ..and the fact that when i bluetooth pair my phone to my pioneer 2 din touchscreen stereo head unit, it doesn't display the song info like the galaxy did....but othet tjan those little issues i like the phone better than the galaxy s2 and s3..plus the built in kickstand is cool,too.....
