ALTHOUGH BOX MAY BE TATTERED, PUZZLE WILL BE GOOD WORKING CONDITION. WE FOCUS ON PREDICTABLE DELIVERY OF THE PUZZLE, NOT ITS BOX.- We don't understand why buyer is worried about a small used cardboard box with no value. Actual puzzle was in NEW condition. Picture on box does not represent puzzle. You work from scratch on these mystery puzzles.
I have 4 different BePuzzled puzzles. So two are 500 pieces including this one. Two are 1000 pieces. They do not provide you with a photo to work off of. Do not assume the box cover is the puzzle itself. It is not. It's part of the be puzzled attitude of BePuzzled puzzles. I usually do about 3/4's of the puzzle BEFORE reading the mystery itself. I just prefer that. I may even wait until the puzzle is complete to read the mystery story then solve that from looking at the picture the puzzle developed into. Kinda reminds me of getting blank film and developing it to discover an answer. Only takes a lot longer to develop the picture or clues due to it's in pieces. I do not find these all that challenging. However many do. Go to Amazon to read reviews by frustrated puzzlers and determine if ... I have 4 different BePuzzled puzzles. I look at puzzles as wanting a challenge. Not one beyond my abilities but still a challenge. The smaller 500 piece sizes are pretty easy to manage in a few part time days. However the 1000 size may add a day or two onto the time frame. I work most of my puzzles outdoors and need to be on the ready to protect all pieces and parts quickly. These are light weight pieces not heavy duty. I cut out large cardboard sides of delivery boxes and save to make hinged books to cover and protect these puzzles. So in the end I can choose to take the puzzle apart and put back in box to share with someone else or gift to library or goodwill etc. Or I can keep the puzzle around a little longer in it's folded protector and in this case even build the second puzzle ontop of the first because it saves cardboard and it's just what I do and works for me. Unlike the commercial roller covers or hardboard frames to make puzzles on I've invested nothing but some tape and time to make these covers and they allow me to keep a puzzle around as long as I care to enjoy now and again. I do not glue my puzzles and hang up. That's just not my cup of tea so to speak. However these make pretty small sized puzzles so for those of you who like doing that these would work probably well. I recommend for those who don't mind working puzzles without an image to follow. I often work a puzzles without consulting the finished image because I just do. Also I read a few people complain that these puzzles do not have border pieces. Mine seem to always have borders. I also have 12x12 inch cardboards cut out and stacked in 14x14 paper clamshell boxes 2" deep about. This allows me to work small areas of a puzzle and color sort etc. Which is what I do right out of the bag/box. I divide into border pieces, color matches and then make sure all pieces are facing up.
