Lego Batman is one of my favorite Lego games it comes second to Lego Star Wars. This game is tons of fun and has awesome characters to play as and I like that you get to play both hero and villain story modes. My favorite story is The Riddler’s Revenge, Then Return Of The Joker and Then Power Crazed Penguin. And I like how each main character has a special ability like Poison Ivy kisses people and kills them, Scarecrow has his fear gas, Riddler has mind control as well does Mad Hatter and Scarecrow, MR. Freeze Freezes people, Joker has a hand buzzer that defeats enemies and Harley Quinn uses her mallet, etc. and they also have special moves when you grab someone like Bane will break backs, Nightwing will kick them, etc. not all characters have these abilities some are just basic mainly the side characters like the henchmen, police and so forth. And if you take the time each character not all but most have there own unique way of walking and being sneaky my favorite is Joker he walks like a gangsta. And most characters also have their own way of walking on the zip line so I like the fact that the game developers gave almost every character their own uniqueness some are copied but most are unique in their own way. The game is tons of fun and the stories are great. If you are a Lego fan like me this is a definite game to have for your collection. If you have not played this game then I recommend you do. This game along with all the Lego series games are great games if your a fan of the theme, and even if your not. The games consist of 15 story based chapters to play which you can then go back and play with any of the previously unlocked chars. which will help you access areas you might not be able to with the story chars. Each chapter has a red lego brick(unlocks cheats in game), collecting lego studs(small legos used as money) and 10 minikits which build into a vehicle or building when you've collected them all. Also, throught out the game, there are piles of legos(either just laying around, or can be found by breaking other things) which can then be built into usuable things or destroyable things(for lego studs) Whats unique to this Batman game is you have 15 chapters as Batman and Robin, PLUS you can then go thru the levels as the bad guys, and all of Batmans nemesis's are here, each with their own abilities. The game is for 1 to 2 players as is fun for just about anyone. In a one player game, the pc controls the second player, which is important because it takes both players to get thru some of the puzzles in the game. Gameplay is not hard to grasp, you basically jump, punch, and build(the charecters do this themselves) with some exceptions on various chars. Plus, on the PS3 the game looks awesome. The plastic parts actually look like plastic. In the end, its a great game for anyones collection. Theres no foul language, any age level can play it, plus it teachs teamwork.Read full review
The first LEGO game I played, and it really amazed me! In-depth lengthy game with excellent puzzles, incredible attention to detail (any Batman fan who plays video games MUST check it out), a lot of free choice in how to complete it. It's cute, it's thematically solid, and it will still make you put in a lot of time and thought as you work hard to complete it! Get your multipliers early so you can rack up the points needed for other purchases. Warning - It is possible to select a replay team that will not be able to find/get to everything and you have different types of flyers and high jumpers. So if you are replaying and you just can't jump or fly to something, don't drive yourself nuts - you probably need a different character you may not have yet. I recommend getting Scarecrow (high jumper with some ability to drift) and Clayface or Mr. Freeze for superstrength early on, and making sure your Batman is paired with one of them until you get the hang of all the character choices and puzzles. The high jumper is more broadly useful especially at the beginning but both (high jump and superstrength) are abilities you won't get through acquiring Bat-suit upgrades. The only complaint - the Bat-suit functions are great, but having them be powers added to the entire suit, rather than scrolling through all the suits every time for each task, would have been nice ;)Read full review
In the great style of Lego, this game brings you the adventures of Batman! The graphics are astonishing and the best I have seen. We own this game on all 3 game systems (Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3) The only reason I enjoy this game on the Wii is how active you are. The technology with the motion handling controller is fun, but since the Wii does not have the next generation graphics, its not as good viewing quality. We then upgraded to the Xbox 360 game, the graphics were great! it was fun as a multi player game and with the Xbox's online community made it even that more fun! We recently purchased a PS3, and are even more amazed at the graphics quality and the online community it offers! The amount of teamwork needed to complete levels and obtain more characters, teaches younger players patience. The have to learn to be thorough and to complete all tasks :) I have NO complaints on this game and the fun it delivers for the ENTIRE family! I have a 6 month old that laughs every time her older brother plays :)Read full review
