    Freaks DVD

    Seen the movie several times before. This is the first time I've been able to see the deleted scenes, commentary and interviews. I enjoyed hearing how the actors were happy to be able to work and earn a living and how they lived normal lives and enjoyed their day jobs. I'm so tired of hearing what other people think is "right for everyone!" The interviews and commentary allows these people to speak for themselves. Overall very interesting movie and again the information on director and actors is a plus!

    1935 time capsule

    The movie 'Freaks' is a capsule in time from 89 years ago. The underlying interests have changed little but the story uses deformed challenged people. Melancholy pervades but there is a curious attraction to the film.

    Side Show

    Ordered the dvd to play at a cast party for the Broadway musical "Side Show," which was about Browning, conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, and several other actual characters. The film was a perfect complement for the party. Although the story line seems a bit hokey today, the dvd was excellent quality, well-packaged for safe shipping, and arrived in plenty of time before the estimated delivery date.

    `This is a 1931 B/W sound movie about side show freaks and their personal lives. It is a classic. I highly recommend it for anyone. Be sure to watch all the extras.
