Book shelf am fm stereo perfect for office, remote is a great feature
There is a low power station ninth miles away that this little unit tuned without using the dipole antenna unwrapped, in full stereo. Remote is perfect, easy to use and radio has enough power output to fill my office with great sound.

Do not believe the picture
The way the plugs for the speakers and the latch for the CD player are located, the speakers do NOT fit flush against the middle part. You have to place them about an inch away on either side. Also, you have to move the right speaker a bit more if you want to open the front to put in a new CD. I'm not sure what the designers were thinking. Other than that, the unit functions well and the sound quality is pretty good. Having the remote is great when lying in bed, not wanting to reach over to the nightstand. You get what you pay for.
I bought this unit for my girlfriend at Christmas. It works fine right now. I would consider it a good desktop stereo for the office, but not something I would want to fill my home with music. It has an attractive look about it. I could not find any way of adjusting the bass or treble.The instructions can be complicating.The volume capacity is fine for a very small space. I think about all the excellent recording equipment Craig made 50 years ago (I still have a Craig reel-to-reel.), but this stereo is not of the same quality. Nice, but there are better low cost units priced a bit higher.
Basic... not a lot of base tone. Not for entertainment beyond a few feet. Works for me as I sit in my recliner and check my email and/or read a book. Nice remote with presets, although it's quite small, takes a while to get used to. Overall it's fine. Bought a slightly more expensive Toshiba for another room which I much prefer.
