    Great Potential -- With the Right Surface

    My only whine is I need a dark mousepad for it to sit on. Amazingly enough, the laser doesn't like my coffee table's mirrored surface, nor does it like my predominately white mouse pad. Once I take care of the mouse pad issue, I will be better able to use it, so for now, it is waiting for me to take a trip to the local computer store -- after this pesky virus thing, that is.

I've used this model for about ten years now and needed a second unit for a second workstation I set up in a room away from my primary two-monitor desktop setup.     Great small track ball but, no scrolling feature

    I needed a track ball with a small foot print that would fit on a end table with a track ball. My main use was for e-mail and E-bay. It fit the bill for size, but the one thing I needed was a scrolling function, be it a wheel or button. This track ball did not have that. Would I recommended it to a friend. If they needed a scrolling function no, if they just needed a track ball with a small foot print yes. The unit worked as advertised, I did not look at it close enough to buy what I needed.
