The tester itself includes a battery and a neat little try to hold the stone you are testing. The case for the tester also has a pocket for the tray, quite convenient. The loupe is clear, was able to use immediately on a stone I have and was able to see quite a bit and verified it was a VVS1. Very happy with this purchase.

Although the battery was dead in the kit. I'm not complaining. Most unbranded batteries never hold a charge very long. But it was worth it to find out if a 1/2 ct diamond was real over 2000.00 real in 14k white gold. I needed it and I'm glad I bought me one now I won't have worry about determining a real or fake one anymore
