Interesting Historically
A book written by a fundamentalist Protestant in the early 1970's as a way to restate the Christian teaching on how wives should live their faith in their marriages. Interesting as a historical piece due to the incredible change undergone in the mainstream Protestant churches.

A must for every Christian woman
To our culture this book will seem outdated and barbaric but it’s message rings true to what the Bible says about obeying our husbands as unto the Lord. I treasure this book and heard about it from an Elisabeth Elliot podcast. It was written in the 70s but applies to any generation. Elizabeth Hanford really fleshes out what it means to obey, what it looks like. For example, we do so bc “it is his position as the head of the wife she honors not his personality. “ so I recommend this book and also to pray before reading it for God to open your heart and help you yield to His will.
