Beats LightMyFire by a mile.
The size of this rod makes it almost too easy to start a fire. It feels like cheating. The bigger than normal size makes it so that this can kick out many more sparks than other fire starters. I bought it to replace a LightMyFire rod that is a couple of uses from breaking. This one should last longer and take far fewer strikes to get a light.

A ferro rod of this size should last a very long time and make a lot of fires. I own several of the smaller ones and wanted a much larger one to last longer.

Scrape the coating off and this thing shoots showers of sparks. Use a ball of tinder about the size of 2 fists and you'll get it done.
