I bought one of these a year ago to telecommute and it has been comfortable and reliable so far. The only problem was that the piece that holds the microphone broke off and I had to super glue it back on. The breakage was during storage and not during use. I recently bought a second pair to have on hand if the first breaks or needs to be lent.

I have been using this type of Logitech noise canceling headphones with a mic for about 12 years now. I record on the karaoke site SingSnap and this works fine. The only thing I notice about them is that the ear covering wears off on one side after about 6 months, and you need to be careful the cord doesn't get pinched, it's very thin. Over all though a set usually lasts me between 1 and 2 years, and I always order another when I toss one of mine old ones. They are cheap and work well!!

Good quality simple headphone mic that comes with a single 3.5mm 4-pole connector instead of separate 3-pole connectors, one for earphones, and one for microphone. Performs great in Dolby and THX HD stereo tests, and microphone works well with MS Sound Recorder, and with Naturally Speaking speech recognition software. For some (older) PCs the connector may not work with 3-pole receptacles and an adapter will be required. I was pleased to find the 4-pole connector works well for both earphones and microphone when inserted into the earphone jack of my Toshiba Satellite C50 – A Series (bought in 2014). The website description does not call attention to the difference in connectors and would be better with an explanation and suggestions of how to use the device with an adapter, I selected this model headphone mic because it does NOT have an Inline volume control (a "wheel" in the cord). The inline volume control on my previous headphone mic has not worked very well recently (loose connection syndrome), so not having same on this new headphone mic is a plus.Read full review
