About this product

Product Information

The Optoma EP719 is unlike the bulky projectors of yesteryears. Indeed, this digital DLP Projector is lightweight and portable with a weight of between four and five pounds. The "Custom" menu option allows the user to tweak the settings and achieve the ideal picture clarity. Standard features of the Optoma DLP Projector include dual DVI and VGA inputs with high-resolution. This is a modern projector that is HDTV ready. Other outstanding features of the Optoma EP719 are its 2000 ANSI Lumens and 1024 x 768 native resolution for sharp display. In addition, the digital DLP Projector has a 4:3 native aspect ratio and 2500:1 contrast ratio for movie-quality images and sharp graphics. The projector is perfect for a range of environments from boardrooms to classrooms. The Optoma DLP Projector is bright, with 2000 Lumens for outstanding image quality as well as a variety of other applications. This projector is compatible with high-end notebooks and has a user password security locking system. In addition, users can utilize the Optoma EP719 at high altitudes or in hot climates simply by adjusting its cooling fan speeds. Finally, this projector keeps track of the amount of lamp hours use and gives a fair warning for lamp replacement.

  • Projector worth the money

So I've been looking around for a good projector for a good 3 months that was high definition, and I couldn't find anything under $500. Finally I find this ad for an Optoma EP719 projector for $250 FOR A BUY IT NOW! I looked at the bids and saw no one was bidding for this item- probably seeing the comment about the bulb being blown out. I purchased a DLP replacement lamp the very same day. Both the Projector and the lamp came the same day. When I got the projector setup with the new bulb I ran into some problems. At first the projector turned off saying that the lamp was near end of life cycle then it said that there was a fan failure. So I vacuumed the projector out. Turned on with no problem, then I reset the lamp timer in the menu. I have nothing to complain about except that I ...

  • Exactly what I expected (and more)

This is the second one of this very same project I have purchased. The first one lasted us 3 years of constant use as our primary source of home theater and gaming entertainment. We went through 4 lamps (costing about $150 each) so even though the cost may be high for some the picture size and quality are awesome. We have a 101" screen and the picture quality is sharp, clear, bright, and very theater-like. When the lamp weakens (after a couple thousand hours) you really need to keep the room very dark, but that is not too difficult to do if you have your home theater system in the basement. Our lamps have been lasting about 3,500 hours even though they are rated for just 2,000. We had to purchase a new projector because the power supply died in the old one.

  • Best Bang for your money

Was really impressed with this projector, could not believe how good the picture is. It is real easy to setup to.

  • Awesome projector

It was a nice product with very reasonable price. I have been using this projector for about a month and it works great. The only problem that I has was the resolution. It does not support 1080P. As a result, when the Netflix went to all HD, I ended up not able to watch Netflix through this projector. YouTube and other stuffs works great. I love this projector.

  • Replaced one just like it

I already knew about the quality of this projector - Very happy with it!
