Olympus DS-50 Digital Recorder - THE best of its kind
I am a court reporter and record all types of proceedings. The Olympus DS-50 is a REMARKABLE digital recorder. I had borrowed one from a fellow reporter just to "try it out". Was SO impressed that I had to have my own. Of course eBay was the best place to get one. This little recorder has great range, super clear playback and holds many files. You can just carry it in your pocket! Would recommend it for anyone needing to record anything -- from auditorium size to small office size. It has the ability to pick up all sound, and exclude the background noises you don't need!

Simply the Best Voice recorder in the market!!
I need to record many conversation, my ownes, and others (discretly if you know what i mean), some are crowded and some just clean conversations. I have 2 Denpa recorders, 2 Sony ICD-SX68, 1 Olympus WS-321M, And I just got this beauty DS-40. It has all the features you'll ever need on a personal or spy recorder!! The sound quality is the best, the feature personalization is perfet for the ocasion, recording level, sensitivity (losts of options), recording timer (the best for me, no othe recorder has it), sound quality. The recordings you get are crisp and you'll never loose a conversation again.

Best digital recorder on the market, if you can find one!
I have used the DS50 as a two-channel recorder in the courtroom for 10 years. It is easy to use, great sound quality, two-channel capability, holds a lot of audio before downloading is needed. I purchased separately the power jack so I didn't have to rely on batteries. Olympus discontinued this model, but I was lucky enough to find one on eBay used to replace my original one which I dropped several times and it finally gave out after ten years of reliable service to me as a court reporter.
