They are rarely-read copies from a side-library at Stanford from the 1980's. They have not been read since acquisition and have been in storage since acquisition. They are older copies with some smudges on the page edges at the bottom. They also have library markings on the edges of the pages and on four locations inside the book. There are Dewey decimal stickers on the lower spine of each book. The one major flaw are pencil underlines on 109 pages of the Prologue and Book I of Confessio Amantis in Volume I (out of 694 pages). Volume II has no pencil underlines. See the description for a more detailed inventory of the book's condition.”
