We use book packaging that is sturdy, and triple folded without being too heavy and adding considerably to international shipping costs. Sometimes, as we did with this shipment, we upgrade to larger packaging at our cost to provide more protection. It's always a challenge to get it right and each magazine has its own custom concerns for packing. Vintage magazines vary hugely in weight and condition, they are all unique.
