A reliable, quiet, easy to install unit. Couldn't ask for more.
I purchased the GoFlex External Hard Drive to use as a backup drive for my new iMac. It was USB3 which was perfect for the new machine. This purchase was influenced by a previous purchase of a Seagate GoFlex drive over two years ago for my other Apple machine. It has worked flawlessly, so that speaks volumes, for me, of the brand and the product. I like the footprint or lack of and the fact it emits no sound or vibration. Very quiet machine. The main thing that I have against the unit is detecting whether the unit is active or not. When it is doing work, the light on the front cycles from a high to a low intensity glow effect that is difficult to see, causing you too stare for several moments of time to be sure that it is indeed doing something. The price of the unit, condition of sale, ... I purchased the GoFlex External Hard Drive to use as a backup drive for my new iMac. It was USB3 which was perfect for the new machine. Zippy with plenty of room, nice techy addition
I wanted to have a place to completely back up of my computer and have a place to store and stream media. the USB 3.0 gives all the speed I need. I like that he Dock detaches allowing other Sata drives to be connected for easy access without having to open up my computer. I partitioned the drive and use 1 gig for backup and the rest for media. Thanks Seagate.

Love the spacious HDD.
This is my second Seagate GoFlex and again I am quite satisfied if not happy. Works with USB 2.0 and 3.0, easy to set up. One of them I had to designated drive letter to, but that was easy using help from the internet. Not much else I can say at this point, I hope it keeps my date safe for years to come. It is well built, sturdy, a high quality product, kinda like WD. The fan is not very loud, love the sleek, black and simplistic design.This is my second Seagate GoFlex and again I am quite satisfied if not happy. Works with USB 2.0 and 3.0, easy to set up.
