Olympus CAMEDIA C-700 Ultra Zoom is a compact, easy-to-handle digital camera equipped with a bright, powerful, F2.8 - 3.5 lens. The lens has a zoom range that is equivalent to 38 - 380mm on a conventional 35mm, and when used in tandem with the built-in digital zoom function, offers the equivalent of 1000mm telephoto power. C-700 Ultra Zoom lets you get closer to your subject for greater detail or lets you capture photos at greater distances, photos you might not have been able to capture with a lesser zoom lens. You can also shoot pictures in rapid succession, just over 1/2 a second per shot, or make a short home movie via the QuickTime movie mode to further ensure you don't miss the memories you want to preserve. High-quality memories, too, thanks to the sharp, colorful images provided by the Olympus aspherical glass lens. The camera offers full-auto shooting convenience, and its compact size makes it extremely easy to handle.The new CAMEDIA C-700 Ultra Zoom makes this power even more accessible and affordable. It offers high image quality because the lens is specifically designed to match the performance characteristics of the camera's 2.11-megapixel CCD. The camera also features iESP auto focus, iESP auto white balance, digital ESP light metering, as well as Portrait, Sport and other auto exposure modes. As a result, it makes high-quality zoom photography extremely easy to enjoy. Ease of use is enhanced by a new settings menu that can be displayed on the camera's built-in color LCD monitor, and the AE lock button can customized by the user to provide instant access to frequently used settings. Other features include motion JPEG recording, sepia and monochrome shooting modes, and a White/Black board shooting mode. CAMEDIA C-700 Ultra Zoom combines superior image quality with the inherent performance advantages of digital technology to offer consumers an entirely new photographic experience.     The bottom line? As long as I am alive, there will be at least one buyer.

    I bought my first Olympus C-700 Ultra Zoom at full retail over four years go at about $400 USD. Some people like Fords. Some people prefer Chevys. I prefer this make and model over any other digital camera or cell phone camera I own regardless of the MegaPixel count. When I damaged mine after over five years of faithful service, I was very bummed out. I thank those who put theirs on eBay at such a ridiculous low price. I was so shocked a the low prices these are being offered at that I bought more than one. I am now prepared if I drop one. That is not likely if I remember to use the strap that will go over my neck and have this camera at belly button level ready to pick up and shoot. The strap is adjustable if you prefer just a wrist strap. I have a choice of ways to control my ...

    Exactly what I wanted.

    I wanted an inexpensive digital zoom camera that I didn't have to worry about if I damaged it. I take pictures while fishing, on the beach, and sand raises cane on things. I wanted a camera that could fly around in the truck and I didn't worry about. Zoom was the key word. The Olympus offered this and the price was less than new items. The camera is great. I got the manual for it on line and it takes regular AA batteries. It has a card so I don't loose pics if bat goes dead. In fact I'm being careful with it because I like it and don't want to mess it up. Kind of defeats my purpose in a good way. Anyway a $700 item for about $30 , including shipping, can't beat it.

    Great value at a reasonable price!

    I loaned my C700 to a friend for a few weeks so she could document a family event. She liked it so much I bought her one. It is easy to use and takes pictures equal to some more expensive models.
