A great can opener
It's more expensive than the el cheapos but it's worth every penny and more. I have severe osteoarthritis and this is easy on my hands. Since I don't like pain and have more than enough of it "that's just what the doctor ordered - avoid pain whenever possible".

These days it's always tempting to buy something electrically operated but I live in an area where the power goes out frequently so I primarily stick with manual kitchen aids.
