    quirky view of James VI/I

    Scotland is my passion. We visit every year. Nigel Tranter is famous in Britain for his novels of historical fiction of Scotland. He wrote about 75 novels before 2000, when he died. His books are all compelling. They put the places we visit in context. The paperback book is typical of the used Tranter paperbacks that I get. $3.99 is just fine.
