Product Information

Pantethine is a derivative of Vitamin B5 and the stable disulfide form of pantetheine, which is the active component of Coenzyme A (CoA). Pantethine supports lipid metabolism by its ability to raise levels of CoA, a cofactor involved in several metabolic pathways including carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. CoA combines with acetyl groups to form Acetyl CoA, a participant in energy production.

IMPORTANT: This supplement contains annatto extract, which is used as a natural food coloring. Some people have very bad reactions to even tiny amounts of this extract. When I started taking just 1 pill a day, I developed full blown IBS within 3 days. Jarrows makes great quality products that I've been satisfied with in the past, hence my 5 star rating, but I just want everyone to know about the annatto extract & what can happen to people with a sensitivity.IMPORTANT: This supplement contains annatto extract, which is used as a natural food coloring. I bought this for my husband. It helped lower his cholesterol from 270 to 258 in a few months. That is without changing his eating habits or exercising. I think it would have gone down more if he would have done those things as well. So It's still higher than it should be, but he is still taking it. He has to get his cholesterol checked again to see if it went down more. It was the only product we bought that helps him. I bought this for my husband.
