Great tracker
I wanted something simple because After yrs of using a smart watch I decided I wanted to go back to wearing my traditional watches. I did miss my activity tracking so this simple tracker works perfectly. It tracks steps and sleep which is all I wanted. It tracks fairly well (activities) meaning not just steps because like most trackers if you swing your arm around it will count. It does come with a belt clip to avoid this from happening. The only gripes that I have is that you have to actually switch the tracker to sleep mode and active mode in order for it to track properly. Not a great tracker, don't bother
I love Samsung's S-Health app. Unfortunately this does not connect to it. It has its own very cheesy app that can somewhat send steps to S-Health, however not in real time, so you can't use it when doing challenges such as Baby Steps to 5K. It's also highly inaccurate, with wide discrepancies between what tracker's app says your steps are and what S-Health counts. Another problem is that since this thing has no screen, it doesn't record your steps, it merely sends them to bluetooth, meaning you have to have your phone right next to you at all times. In fact there's an annoying beeping that occurs if you get too far from your phone. In that case, why not just carry your phone around everywhere? The step counter in my phone is more accurate and since this thing doesn't free me up from my ... I love Samsung's S-Health app. Unfortunately this does not connect to it. Pretty accurate and decent for the money
Do not buy this if you are in the market for a smart watch! This is basically a pedometer to pair with your Samsung phone. It is very accurate in step count, and has a fairly easy to navigate app you must install to pair it with your smartphone. It also works well with the Samsung Health app, which I use religiously. The app for this device sucked originally for lack of better words, but has improved to the point where it is decent. The sleep monitor function works, but you must flip the switch on the device to use this option...less than ideal in my opinion. But, it does work and verifies my suspicions when I do in fact have a restless night in bed.Do not buy this if you are in the market for a smart watch! If you can get it cheap, buy it
If you just need something to count steps and track your sleep for S Health (or just use the dedicated app), you want either this or the Samsung Charm as they are both cheap and work as advertised. However despite the fact they're cheaper than most I feel they are still overpriced. Plus this product has been discontinued, and the Charm is really ugly. However, if you need to track sleep and count steps and don't care about what app you use to view the data, get the Mi Band S1 Pulse from Xiaomi. Much cheaper plus this and the charm and has an optical heart rate sensor which the Samsung trackers mentioned don't. I however got the Samsung as the S1 is not compatible with S Health. EDIT: a couple more weeks with this and my opinion's changed a fair bit. This device is not water resistant to ... If you just need something to count steps and track your sleep for S Health (or just use the dedicated app), you want either this or the Samsung Charm as they are both cheap and work as advertised. In the short amount of time I've owned it I've had to put it in a bag of rice overnight 4 times now. However - the good thing is that a bag of rice seems to fix it, but I never let the device fill with water either, just enough water for the LED's to go a bit weird and for the device to behave strangely. So if you are ever unfortunate enough to get a small amount of water in it via the USB port or the switch or the button - rice is your friend. Overall - not recommended unless you're cheap.
