NERF 2: N-Strike Elite features a classic rail shooter style of gameplay and equip players with a cache of fresh features. With the Wii-remote snapped into the NERF SWITCH SHOT EX-3 blaster and the red reveal lens engaged, players can detect enemy weak spots, solve puzzles and decode secret messages as they blast their way to victory. Boys in the target age range of 8 to 12 will jump into battle as one of four playable characters, each with their own unique customizable blasters and abilities. For those players who find themselves in a melee that requires back-up, NERF 2: N-Strike Elite includes two-player co-op, allowing buddies to immediately jump in and join the crusade. Players can also interact with a veritable army of robots including B.O.B., the same recruiting robot from the first NERF N-Strike game. [Electronic Arts]Read full review
I saw this everywhere and gave it a shot- it seemed like the 'new thing' Wii owners were blogging about. I did not buy it w/o getting a second gun though. I went from a guy who didn't want video games in his house turning his kid's minds into mush to a Wii owner. The 'sell' my wife used was that we all can play. The kids liked their Nerf guns anyhow so combining the two was a no-brainer. They enjoy beating the game together (they don't shoot at each other so it promotes teamwork and though you are firing a gun, no people are dying and the plot itself isn't sinister.
Both my 7-year old boy and I really love it and rate it as one of the best Wii games. At the beginning, I was kind of worry about the violent, but it turned out that the "bullets" are just nerf bullets. However, I would not recommend this one for any kids below 5 years old, just for the safety. At the end, but the elite version seems a better deal than game only.
I'm not a big game player, but I purchased this game for my grandchildren. From the day they tried it they can't stop talking about it. The game, in it's easy mde allows the player to master it quickly. The game also has several variations that allow them to change so as not to become bord wit it.
just as described i recieved the game before i should have and even just days before christmas!! i feel the game was a good choice for my son who is 9 he has played it quite a few times already and we dont have the nerf gun that you can use with it and he enjoys it just fine this game among others he had gotten is his first time owning the wii so he wasnt an advanced user of the gaming system yet either over all for sure would say get it
