A bit disappointing???
I just installed the new Tru-Glo Slug Series sight set, and I like how bright the rears are with just minimal light to help them out. But, the fronts, even though the fiber optic is nice as well, being made of cheap polymer turned me right off? I could push the front dovetail into place on the barrel of my 870?? If they had just used a better base material these sights would be great, but I'm giving the sights three stars ☆☆☆ out of five based on the cheap plastic??? It's Okay
For being made of plastic it's not that bad. If you are a casual user it will work but I was able to install the front sight with my fingers. That's never happened to me before. If you really use your shotgun in vigorous activities you will likely bang that front sight on something and knock it out and lose it. Other than that the sights are great. Does not fit the Remington model 1100 slug barrel.
Ad stated "fits Remington barrel" But the rear site wasn't even close to fitting as a replacement sight. Asked to return for the sights that do fit. I paid $10.99 shipping to this company and another $6.15 to return it for an exchange. All I got back was a credit to paypal of $13.95 !! Paid a total of $ 31.09 for nothing and credited $13.95 for a cost of $17.14 and still no barrel sights!????

Just what I needed for putting a Tru Glo sight on the front of my Remington 597.
Stop and do not buy if you are not determined to follow through with a little extra work to mount these. For the front sight you must buy the Lyman front dovetail sight ramp. $10. The rear insert fit just perfectly except it was a little thicker than the original and needs a slightly longer screw. I could only find a pack of 100 screws in that size. Therefore I have 99 extra screws in my drawer. But the sights are awesome.Stop and do not buy if you are not determined to follow through with a little extra work to mount these.
