Alex Ross is one of the absolute best artists in the world. His realistic artistic approach to the characters that we grew up reading about is absolutely exquisite. Kingdom Come is the very best work that he has done. He incorporated along with Mark Waid the concepts of Biblical Prophecy with the fictional story of the rise of a new generation of heroes without the same constraints and morals of their ancestors to guide them. Without wanting to share spoilers about the contents of the story, this book has the most beautiful rendered artwork of the DC characters by the best of the best Alex Ross. I can't emphasize this man's beautiful artwork enough. He has taken first place in the list of my favorite artists. He draws, paints and writes with a certain reverence for the work that so many fine artists and writers helped to create for us their adoring fans. Read this story and be blown away. This is the finest edition that I have yet to see and is better manageable than the Absolute Edition which I also have. This is my favorite edition, and if you buy it you will be proud to display it and people will simply want you to share it with them. Buy your edition today, it will bring childhood happiness to you with its very positive story!
The artwork alone is enough to make me recommend this graphic novel. The story is so unique, however, that I would equally want you to read the story. By combining those two elements, this becomes a “one of a kind” experience you just do not want to miss!
