Product Information

Monopoly Party takes the popular real estate game and injects it with new rules, tokens, and properties. The key feature of this "party" edition is the ability for four players to move around the board simultaneously instead of taking turns. Five different themes are also selectable, which alter the properties, tokens, currency, and appearance of the board. In addition to the classic theme, which uses the original Monopoly game board and tokens, players can opt for a sci-fi, fantasy, prehistoric, or an ancient monuments theme. A 3D display located in the center of the Monopoly board will animate as players move their tokens across the spaces. <br><br>Memory card owners can save a number of statistics as part of a player profile, including win-loss record, fastest victory, highest wealth, most properties owned, and other areas. Tutorials offer animated lessons on such topics as Rent and Taxes, Jail, and Buying and Selling Houses, while the Party Mode can be played from a choice of four overhead views. The traditional game of Monopoly is also available, with adjustable rules to help customize each game. Players can set the total number of houses and hotels, whether or not houses must be evenly distributed, whether or not double rent is enforced, determine bonuses for landing on GO, decide on a free parking jackpot, and more.

    Best version of Monopoly you can buy!

    The game is set up for all players to roll and move at the same time, so it speeds up game play. I like monopoly but find spending hours waiting to lose tedious. So creating a faster version keeps the fun but gets rid of the monotony. The control set up takes a minute to get used to. The screen for exchanging properties is a little wonky, it helps to read the text boxes. Each player requires their own controller so if you don't have a PS2 backward compatible PS3 you'll need to pick up a splitter to accommodate the additional controllers. Overall a great alternative to the traditional board game for family game night.

    Very good game for family

    I have the XBOX version of the game which plays very well. After buying PS3 I bought this PS2 game so that I can play this on PS3 as well but was a bit disappointed with the quality of graphics, startup time etc. Most other PS2 games I have played acutally show up better using the PS3 console. Not sure why not this one... the seller had mentioned that this is a black disk... not sure if it actually means a pre-release sort of disc. Anyways, for the game itself I would give a A-.

    A great game for one or many!

    I am a big lover of Monopoly, but my problem is that no one ever wants to play with me :-(. This game is great for people with this dilemma. I love that you can choose to play a classic game, where one person goes at a time, or party mode, where you can play simultaneously, also, I like that you can choose a theme to play with. I prefer the classic game, because i know the properties and where they are on the board, once you get into the themes, the names change and it gets a little confusing. The only downfall to this game for me, is that the type is a little small. I don&apos;t really need glasses at all, but even for someone with perfect vision, I find it&apos;s a little hard to see the monetary amounts, when trading or paying or receiving money. All in all a great game!

    Very fun, hard to find, worth the money

    Monopoly Party is very fun. It features different versions of the game. You can set all your own rules for each game, like free parking and building evenly. I love being able to do that. It also has different style boards and characters. That makes it funner. If you like Playing the board game Monopoly, you will love this game. The game is named Monopoly Party because it has a version of Monopoly called Monopoly Party. In this game, every person is going at the same time. Me and my family honestly did not like that version. It gave me a headache and was too confusing but maybe you will like that. We did not. Recommended for anyone who has ever played the board game or wants to play the board game.     Monopoly Party for PS2

    I have played this game and for anyone wondering why this game even though it&apos;s old still sells for a ton of money, It&apos;s simply because it is just about one of the best most fun games I&apos;ve ever played. My husband and I got is a few years back and just kinda popped it in on a lark and we played for 6 hours..It&apos;s just that much fun. One of our friends liked it so much they even stole it from us when they moved away.. I&apos;m sad to say! I miss this game.. It&apos;s all in 3-D and has 4 or 5 diffrent lands/boards for you to play on and they are all very animated.. This game lets you set your own &quot;house&quot; rules for those of you who did that back in the day on the board game.
