HP DESKJET 960C Printer
I was very pleased with our old 960c printer. my wife ordered a new epson and she is happy with it. the 960c we had is 10 to 15 years old and lot less complicated. I am going to use the one we purchased for my computer. I contact a repair shop regarding the old unit and was able spend less money with this new one. I will be setting up for my hobbies after we get our new one in running order. this unit as did our old one has a larger ink capacity and very easy to work with.I was very pleased with our old 960c printer. my wife ordered a new epson and she is happy with it. the 960c we had is 10 to 15 years old and lot less complicated. WORKES WITH MY OLD COMPUTER
This printer is compatable with my old computer,which has a Windows ME operating system. It prints fairly well with my old computer. The only problem is that I get a popup message on my monitor that the color print cartrige is installed incorrectly and to take it out and to reinset it. The cartrige is installed correctly. It didnot pay to ask for a replacement,since it cost $30 and shipping cost $25.00.This printer is compatable with my old computer,which has a Windows ME operating system. HP-960c Printer
I have had a Deskjet 952c and a Deskjet 960c for 5 or 6 years. both came in a computer package deal and both worked fine. They work well, fast, smooth, and can handle 60 pound card stock paper with no problem. The removable rear panel makes clearing the rare paper jam a breeze. Recently the 952 [ older of the two ] mechanism locked up tight. While trying to free it, I tore the cable that moves with the print heads. I had run many, many cases of paper through the machine and figured I had gotten my moneys worth long ago. Went to retailer to buy new printer - all had expensive and TINY ink cartridges [ small ink capacity ] On a whim I checked on line search-engine for an HP-952 or HP-960 because they take the same ink cartridges. Several popped up on Ebay. I bid on two of them, a 960c ... I have had a Deskjet 952c and a Deskjet 960c for 5 or 6 years. both came in a computer package deal and both worked fine. The printers work fine,just like my old 960 and 952. I DON'T SEE ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ANY OF THESE MODELS. Use the same cartridges all around so only have to stock the 45 Black [ 42 ml of ink ] and 78 Tricolor [ 39 ml of ink ]. COMPARE to see HOW MUCH ink is in other cartridges for other printers!!!

The HP 900 series printers are inexpensive to operate and require little to no service. They have a long lifespan and ink cartridges have much larger capacity than any of the new models. All of the 900 series printers are photo quality and have a draft quality mode that works well for everyday text printing and saves on ink use. Addition of an optional two sided printing accessory allows you to save paper also. It's really too bad that HP discontinued this series of printers as they have always been very dependable. Genuine HP ink cartridges are easy to locate and refilled cartridges are abundant in stores and very inexpensive right on Ebay.The HP 900 series printers are inexpensive to operate and require little to no service. Hp Deskjet 860c Printer
The only printer I use for text. Fast and dependable. It just keeps on working. Has great cartridges that can be refilled easy or easy to find. Cartridges holds volumes. I wish Hp had never stopped making this model. Hard to improve on this one.
