I've been sewing for over 50 years, and i know a lot about this subject. I had terrible problems with this pattern. The sizing is very odd. The actual measurements of the finished garments didn't match up with the measurements on the pattern. The bust is a problem: you need to add extra fabric for a D-cup or larger bust. Also, you need to take darts in the dress and coat for shaping, or the garment will gap at the side. The bodice of the dress is so low cut that I added two inches to the pattern before I cut it, ditto for the coat top. The photo of the coat on the pattern is very misleading. Whoever sewed the coat for the photo did the same thing I did--added inches to the bodice so that it would be more modest. Otherwise, you will have embarrassingly low decolletage in it-same for the dress. The pattern is also sized for a VERY tall person. I didn't need the extensions at all. But the problem is that the measure-ments fall in a different place for a shorter person with a shorter torso, and the pattern doesn't say that or offer places to adjust enough so that the hip measurement will fall in the right place for a short torso. The pattern appears to be sized for someone 5'8" or taller. Six foot women would have no problem with this pattern, provided they had small busts. Remember to add a little to the pattern BEFORE cutting if you are well endowed.
