    Great but consumable.

    This item is great in that it blocks out the vapors from things like spray paint, and particles from sanding. The one drawback to this 3m 5000 series respirator is you can only use the whole thing for 40 hours of use or 30 days then you throw the whole unit away.

    This is entirely my fault for not reading carefully.

    This respirator fits comfortably and works very well. However the problem is it is made to be disposable. That means the filter can not be replaced. In fact it is glued on. After the filter is used up it need to be disposed of. For 26 dollars this is really disappointing. I recommend purchasing a different model with a removable filter so you can get plenty of use out of it.

    Disposable!

    Works like a good mask and fits well but it is disposable which was not clear in the ad I bought from. Also, please be aware of the fact that you can buy the same mask off the shelf at Home Depot (if you have one) for $5 less.

    .. Better than Cloth or Paper

    Better than cloth mask. With cloth or paper my glasses got fogged up. And I was rebreathing my own Co2. With 3m07172 I am not fogging up my glasses and the Co2 and heat go away from the body. This also allows for an assortment of filters to used. And you can wipe down and reuse and replace filters when required.

    Feedback..by the time the cartridges are exhausted if the rest of the respirator isn't shot..then ur just not working hard enough...
