Cleaner sounding than the previous Yamaha models!
I've been a Yamaha user for 10 years and just upgraded to the HS series. Right away I noticed it was cleaner. More focus on the mids and yet the bass is still punchy. Got mine used but they look brand new and just perfect.

Great monitors
I absolutely love these monitors. The sound is superb and I'm happy with the amount of bass from the 6.5 inch woofers. I thought about getting the larger speakers, but I'm happy I didn't, as this is a nice balance between the 5" and 8" versions.
